Meet Dr. Dan, PRS Chiropractor
Dr. Dan’s journey into the field of health began at a young age, marked by his determination to overcome asthma through active participation in organized school sports like football, basketball, and track and field. Reflecting on his childhood, he acknowledges the prevalence of chronic ear infections, asthma, and allergies – conditions he now recognizes as deviations from true health. Despite societal norms, his experiences fueled his commitment to understanding and promoting genuine well-being.
Educational and Professional Path
After relocating to the North Allegheny School District during his high school years, Dr. Dan’s pivotal moment arrived when he enrolled in an anatomy and physiology course, steering him toward a healthcare career. His academic journey led him to graduate Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University in Fall 2006. The defining chapter unfolded during his exploration of Life University and its College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. Entranced by the philosophy that life is innately intelligent and that health is our birthright, he pursued chiropractic studies, excelling through the program and rounding out his clinical experience under the guidance of mentor Dr. Bob DeMaria, The World’s Drugless Doctor. Dr. Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude in March 2011.
Personal and Professional Fulfillment
Dr. Dan’s personal and professional life seamlessly intertwines. Alongside his educational pursuits, he married his high school sweetheart, Erin, who now plays a pivotal role in running their chiropractic office. The Turo family, consisting of two young sons, Ethan and Sammy, and two rescued pit bull mixes, Duke and Daisy, form the foundation of his support system. Driven by a passion for chiropractic care, he is delighted to be back in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, actively engaging with the community through speaking engagements, health care classes, volunteering, and the core of his practice, adjusting spines to contribute to the well-being of individuals, one day at a time.
