A 40-year-old female presented to the office with a history of recurrent migraines, primarily located behind the eyes and across the forehead. These episodes were frequently triggered by high-intensity workouts, which had become increasingly difficult for her to enjoy. She also reported spending long hours at a desk job and feeling that her head consistently leaned forward while working which would leave her with tension and discomfort in her neck and upper back.
A detailed spinal analysis was performed, revealing significant anterior head carriage. Based on these findings, a care plan was initiated consisting of instrument-only adjustments, performed once a week over six weeks. At her re-evaluation, follow-up X-rays demonstrated a decrease in anterior head carriage from 39mm down to 24mm, confirming objective structural improvement. These corrections are shown in the x-rays below.
Clinically, the patient reported remarkable progress. Since beginning care, she has not experienced a single migraine. In addition to her migraine relief, she noticed increased mental clarity, improved energy levels throughout the day, and a renewed ability to participate in high-intensity workouts without symptom flare-ups. This case highlights the powerful impact that precise, non-invasive chiropractic care can have on posture-related neurological symptoms.
